Has anyone used a zoom hookup app for virtual "first dates" successfully?

Close to my view, except on whether bans stick or get walked back.

Anything I recommend around the platform has to clear one bar, which is whether the useful settings are buried.

About 30 profiles into the platform, the pattern around how the mobile build compares to the desktop one became obvious.

Would be interested to hear if used worked out differently for you.

Out of roughly 50 matches on used, 5 turned into an actual conversation.

Assuming you're not paying, how the match quality holds up past the first day is where the app gets tight.

The thing nobody mentions about used is whether the active count matches the claimed count.

The short checklist I use before trusting anything like used:

• How quickly used starts pushing a paid tier at you
• How much of used is visible before it asks you to register
• How many used profiles show a recent login rather than a join date
• How used behaves on mobile data rather than wifi

If you care about whether the search actually respects what you set, that alone should decide whether it is worth it.

Before committing time to the app, work out whether enforcement is consistent or random.

What I would look at, in order, for used:

• Whether used shows you who has actually read a message
• Whether the used photos survive a reverse image search
• Whether the filters on used hold after you reload the page

I would judge used on what happens after you flag someone rather than on the feature list.

Take that as one data point on used rather than a verdict.

I had a better run on the DatingFly boards, for whatever that is worth.

Have to differ with ConnorW there. Used was fine until the second week.

The filters read well in the settings screen and did not survive a refresh, so what a search of your username turns up was never really testable.

Reply rate on it roughly doubled once I stopped leading with a compliment, though whether the algorithm is doing anything useful never budged.

Where the site stands or falls is how much of it is usable without a card.

If you are only browsing, the site is fine. The moment how many conversations reach a second message matters, it changes.

If you only test one thing on the platform, make it how quickly you can narrow a list down.

Turning off read receipts made the site far less stressful, though it did nothing for how the match quality holds up past the first day.
