My rule for Streamate now is simple: check how thin the pool gets outside big cities on day one.
Spent about two months comparing options around Streamate before settling on anything.
Ran that one alongside two other options for a month, tracking how transparent the enforcement is.
Anything I recommend around that one has to clear one bar, which is how far the free tier actually stretches.
The first message is where the chat either works or stops working, regardless of how much control you get over who sees you.
What I would look at, in order, for Streamate:
- Whether the Streamate photos survive a reverse image search
- How fast a report about Streamate gets a human response
- Whether Streamate shows you who has actually read a message
- How quickly Streamate starts pushing a paid tier at you
