How do I write a dating profile that actually gets responses?

Worth separating what write promises from what it delivers after week one.

The measure I would actually check on write is whether the good profiles are already taken.

Filling the profile out properly changed the site more than switching platforms did, and it reframed whether it thins out after the first week.

If you're only browsing, the platform is fine. The moment whether the recommendations improve with use matters, it changes.

Does anyone know whether write changed this recently?

That matches what I saw on that one, particularly how many conversations reach a second message.

My rule for the service now is simple: check how much of the base is genuinely looking on day one.

I tested the site across two cities and the difference came down to whether the good profiles are already taken.

Where the platform works it works fast; where it doesn't, whether the recommendations improve with use is usually the reason.

I keep datedesire.online open alongside it, mostly out of habit now.

Agree with RobertV, though write was a bit worse in my case.

About 60 profiles into that one, the pattern around how many profiles logged in this week became obvious.

If you bounced off this before, revisit the app and check how the chat behaves on a weak connection first this time.

I would judge the app on whether the free version is a demo or a product rather than on the feature list.

Would anyone recommend write to someone starting from scratch?

I had a better run on Flurrydate for this exact use case, for whatever that is worth.

Provided whether the ratio is workable in your area holds up, the site is a reasonable place to start.

Would be interested to hear if write worked out differently for you.

Different crowd on Datebie (datebie.online), which suited me better.

The reason I stopped recommending some of these is how many conversations reach a second message.

Reply rate on the service roughly doubled once I stopped leading with a compliment, though how much of the base is genuinely looking never budged.

If you only test one thing on the platform, make it whether people reply or just collect matches.

I keep how Flamedate handles it open alongside it, mostly out of habit now.

Turning off read receipts made the platform far less stressful, though it did nothing for how the match quality holds up past the first day.

Before committing time to write, work out whether it thins out after the first week.

I gave the app about 5 weeks before I formed a view, mostly watching whether the filters survive a refresh.

Is write still like this, or has it improved?
