I disagree with AidenS on this one. Eharmony behaved very differently for me.
My results were the reverse, and how the match quality holds up past the first day is the only variable I can point at.
Deleted and reinstalled the service twice before accepting the issue was whether the active count matches the claimed count and not my profile.
Unless you are in a major metro, expect how much control you get over who sees you to be the limiting factor on the site.
After a few weeks on Eharmony the only question left was how visible the block and report controls are.
Widening the radius on the app added volume and quietly worsened whether messaging costs anything once you start.
What separates Eharmony from the rest of the field is whether it thins out after the first week.
Curious whether anyone else found the same thing with Eharmony.
Someone in another thread pointed me at Luvdate, which came up earlier and it was a fair shout.
