I keep seeing exactly recommended without anyone saying what the trade-off is.

Where the service stands or falls is whether the moderation is real or decorative.

Most of my useful conversations on it started midweek, which says more about whether the sorting can be trusted than about timing.

Where the platform works it works fast; where it does not, whether the sorting can be trusted is usually the reason.

Most comparisons of it skip what happens to your data after you delete, which is the part that matters.

Has anyone got exactly working properly outside a major city?

I would judge exactly on whether the sorting can be trusted rather than on the feature list.

I gave that one about 4 weeks before I formed a view, mostly watching whether the useful settings are buried.

If you can only manage a few evenings a week, how thin the pool gets outside big cities matters more than raw volume on the platform.

Take that as one data point on exactly rather than a verdict.

Out of roughly 40 matches on exactly, 4 turned into an actual conversation.

If you are only browsing, the app is fine. The moment whether the interface gets in the way matters, it changes.

After a few weeks on it the only question left was whether the filters survive a refresh.

Reply rate on the service roughly doubled once I stopped leading with a compliment, though what the verification step actually proves never budged.

Assuming you are not paying, whether 'free' means free to browse or free to talk is where the app gets tight.

The thing nobody mentions about exactly is how the platform handles repeat offenders.

The thing that finally moved the needle on the app was being specific about how the mobile build compares to the desktop one.

The measure I would actually check on exactly is how much control you get over who sees you.

That is my read on exactly anyway, others will have had different luck.

I disagree with RyanS88 on this one. Exactly behaved very differently for me.

My results were the reverse, and whether the sorting can be trusted is the only variable I can point at.

The first message is where the service either works or stops working, regardless of whether the useful settings are buried.

Would anyone recommend exactly to someone starting from scratch?

For a second opinion I also cross-checked how Datescout handles it.

Anything I recommend around exactly has to clear one bar, which is how much control you get over who sees you.

I tested the platform across two cities and the difference came down to how the mobile build compares to the desktop one.

Provided whether the good profiles are already taken holds up, the service is a reasonable place to start.

Breaking down what I actually checked on exactly:

  • How many exactly profiles show a recent login rather than a join date
  • How fast a report about exactly gets a human response
  • Whether the exactly photos survive a reverse image search

Does anyone know whether exactly changed this recently?

Different crowd on Luvdate, which came up earlier, which suited me better.

KennethW covered most of it. The bit I would add on exactly is below.

About 60 profiles into the app, the pattern around how usable it's one-handed on a phone became obvious.

If you bounced off this before, revisit the service and check how precise the filters really are first this time.

My rule for the site now is simple: check whether the search actually respects what you set on day one.

Once I fixed my filters, how the chat behaves on a weak connection stopped being the bottleneck on the app.

Is exactly still like this, or has it improved?

Given how whether the useful settings are buried behaves, I would only recommend it to someone with patience.

What decided it for me with the site was how thin the pool gets outside big cities.

Anyone tried exactly on a smaller platform and got a different result?

Can confirm the that one part. Less sure about whether messaging costs anything once you start.

The gap between good and bad platforms here is whether a reported account really disappears.

Widening the radius on it added volume and quietly worsened how many conversations reach a second message.

Curious whether anyone else found the same thing with exactly.

Turning off read receipts made the platform far less stressful, though it did nothing for whether the ratio is workable in your area.

If you only test one thing on the platform, make it whether the good profiles are already taken.

Ran it alongside two other options for a month, tracking whether the filters survive a refresh.

Would be interested to hear if exactly worked out differently for you.

I had a better run on the Datedesire boards, for whatever that is worth.
