Spent about two months comparing options around good before settling on anything.

I kept notes for a month on it because I kept losing track of how many profiles logged in this week.

My rule for good now is simple: check whether the community polices itself on day one.

Filling the profile out properly changed the service more than switching platforms did, and it reframed how well it holds up once the novelty fades.

The advice shifts a fair bit for members who want to be seen as they're once how many conversations reach a second message is on the table.

Does anyone know whether good changed this recently?

Can confirm the the site part. Less sure about whether the active count matches the claimed count.

Where good stands or falls is how many profiles logged in this week.

My first week on the platform looked promising; by the second I was only really watching how many profiles logged in this week.

If you can only manage a few evenings a week, how much of the base is genuinely looking matters more than raw volume on the platform.

The thing nobody mentions about good is whether the active count matches the claimed count.

Different crowd on datingfly.online, which suited me better.

Deleted and reinstalled good twice before accepting the issue was whether the recommendations improve with use and not my profile.

Provided whether people reply or just collect matches holds up, the site is a reasonable place to start.

If you only test one thing on it, make it how well it holds up once the novelty fades.

Photo quality moved my results on the site more than anything I wrote, more even than how many conversations reach a second message.

Things worth confirming before you spend a week on good:

  • How much of good is visible before it asks you to register
  • How fast a report about good gets a human response
  • How good behaves on mobile data rather than wifi

If this one does not work out, Flurrydate, which came up earlier covers similar ground.

Not sure I agree with Blake. On good the opposite was true in my area.

That advice would have cost me a month, because what the app leaks to other members is not what it looks like up front.

Unless you're in a major metro, expect whether the ratio is workable in your area to be the limiting factor on the platform.

What I would look at, in order, for good:

  • Whether the good match count moves when you widen the radius
  • Whether the filters on good hold after you reload the page
  • How many good conversations get past a second reply

This is the right question. The answer is mostly how much of the base is genuinely looking.

Most comparisons of it skip how much of the base is genuinely looking, which is the part that matters.

Most of my useful conversations on the site started midweek, which says more about how much of it is usable without a card than about timing.

After a few weeks on good the only question left was how many profiles logged in this week.

Ran that one alongside two other options for a month, tracking how many conversations reach a second message.

Breaking down what I actually checked on good:

  • How many good profiles show a recent login rather than a join date
  • Whether good works at all outside the three biggest cities near you

Curious whether anyone else found the same thing with good.

Reply rate on the app roughly doubled once I stopped leading with a compliment, though how well it holds up once the novelty fades never budged.

I would judge good on what the verification step actually proves rather than on the feature list.

I logged into the platform at different times of day to get a read on how quickly it starts asking for money.

The signals that told me most about good:

  • How quickly good starts pushing a paid tier at you
  • Whether good shows you who has actually read a message

Would be interested to hear if good worked out differently for you.

Datebie if you want a smaller pool came up when I asked the same question last year.

Seconding what Trevor Sullivan said, with one caveat about good.

The reason I stopped recommending some of these is how granular the visibility controls get.

The short checklist I use before trusting anything like good:

Took me about 5 weeks on good to work out that the real question was how anonymous you actually stay in practice.

Where the app works it works fast; where it doesn't, whether people reply or just collect matches is usually the reason.

The measure I would actually check on the platform is whether the moderation is real or decorative.

Once I fixed my filters, how thin the pool gets outside big cities stopped being the bottleneck on the platform.

Whatever you land on, test good for a week before you judge it.
