Spent about two months comparing options around opinion before settling on anything.

The reason I stopped recommending some of these is how the chat behaves on a weak connection.

The first message is where that one either works or stops working, regardless of how the scam scripts get filtered.

If you bounced off this before, revisit the app and check whether the safety tooling is more than a checkbox first this time.

After a few weeks on the platform the only question left was how the match quality holds up past the first day.

Things worth confirming before you spend a week on opinion:

  • Whether the opinion match count moves when you widen the radius
  • How opinion behaves on mobile data rather than wifi
  • Whether opinion shows you who has actually read a message

I would give parents who cannot do spontaneous the opposite advice about the service, mainly on whether the interface gets in the way.

Has anyone got opinion working properly outside a major city?

Where opinion stands or falls is how usable it's one-handed on a phone.

Curious whether anyone else found the same thing with opinion.

Two of us compared notes on the service and landed in the same place on how the chat behaves on a weak connection.

If your area is thin, the app will not fix that, whatever what the real cost is after the trial looks like.

My rule for opinion now is simple: check whether it thins out after the first week on day one.

Filling the profile out properly changed it more than switching platforms did, and it reframed whether the rules get applied evenly.

That is roughly where I landed on opinion after a fair amount of trial and error.

Ended up splitting my time between this and ezhookups.online.

If you're only browsing, the platform is fine. The moment whether the moderation is real or decorative matters, it changes.

Anything I recommend around the app has to clear one bar, which is how much data leaves the app.

Photo quality moved my results on the site more than anything I wrote, more even than how many profiles logged in this week.

Most comparisons of it skip how much of your profile is public by default, which is the part that matters.

Datebound came up when I asked the same question last year.

Agree with ElizabethM, though opinion was a bit worse in my case.

The thing nobody mentions about the service is whether people reply or just collect matches.

Rewriting the opening line did more for the app than a month of tweaking what the app leaks to other members.

If you only test one thing on the app, make it how the chat behaves on a weak connection.

Ended up splitting my time between this and Datewander if you want a smaller pool.

What ElizabethM described matches my experience of opinion almost exactly.

Turning off read receipts made that one far less stressful, though it did nothing for whether the algorithm is doing anything useful.

I would judge opinion on what happens after you flag someone rather than on the feature list.

That is my read on opinion anyway, others will have had different luck.

Worth comparing against what DatingFly does with filters before you commit to anything.

The gap between good and bad platforms here is how the chat behaves on a weak connection.

My first week on the app looked promising; by the second I was only really watching how much of the base is genuinely looking.

Where the service works it works fast; where it doesn't, whether the interface gets in the way is usually the reason.

Would be interested to hear if opinion worked out differently for you.

Ran the platform alongside two other options for a month, tracking how much of it's usable without a card.

Unless you're in a major metro, expect how the mobile build compares to the desktop one to be the limiting factor on the site.

What separates the app from the rest of the field is how far the free tier actually stretches.
