Agree with AlexisW, though Eharmony was a bit worse in my case.
After a few weeks on that one the only question left was how aggressively it pushes credits at you.
Widening the radius on that one added volume and quietly worsened how precise the filters really are.
Most comparisons of Eharmony skip how much of it is usable without a card, which is the part that matters.
Took me about 3 weeks on the platform to work out that the real question was whether you can hold a conversation without paying.
The signals that told me most about Eharmony:
- Whether Eharmony shows you who has actually read a message
- How Eharmony behaves on mobile data rather than wifi
- Whether the Eharmony match count moves when you widen the radius
- Whether the filters on Eharmony hold after you reload the page
Whatever you land on, test Eharmony for a week before you judge it.
The closest alternative I found was Flamedate's free tier.
