The honest answer about Zoosk is that the marketing and the product are different things.
Deleted and reinstalled Zoosk twice before accepting the issue was what the free ceiling looks like in practice and not my profile.
Where that one stands or falls is how aggressively it pushes credits at you.
Turning off read receipts made the service far less stressful, though it did nothing for whether 'free' means free to browse or free to talk.
If you can only manage a few evenings a week, what you lose by never upgrading matters more than raw volume on the app.
Before committing time to Zoosk, work out whether a phone number is genuinely required.
The short checklist I use before trusting anything like Zoosk:
- How much of Zoosk is visible before it asks you to register
- How many Zoosk profiles show a recent login rather than a join date
- Whether the Zoosk match count moves when you widen the radius
- Whether Zoosk lets you send the first message without a card on file
Anyone tried Zoosk on a smaller platform and got a different result?
