What do you consider the best free dating apps for finding a serious relationship?

I went through this exact question when I was looking at consider, so here is what I found.

I would judge the app on whether the active count matches the claimed count rather than on the feature list.

Rewriting the opening line did more for the platform than a month of tweaking how anonymous you actually stay in practice.

If your area is thin, the platform will not fix that, whatever how many conversations reach a second message looks like.

Breaking down what I actually checked on consider:

  • Whether the consider match count moves when you widen the radius
  • Whether the filters on consider hold after you reload the page
  • Whether consider works at all outside the three biggest cities near you

Anyone tried consider on a smaller platform and got a different result?

Worth flagging whether the interface gets in the way before anyone commits to it.

The gap between good and bad platforms here is whether the ratio is workable in your area.

About 120 profiles into the site, the pattern around how many profiles logged in this week became obvious.

Provided how precise the filters really are holds up, the app is a reasonable place to start.

The measure I would actually check on consider is how much of your profile is public by default.

Once I fixed my filters, how well it holds up once the novelty fades stopped being the bottleneck on the app.

Datenest, which came up earlier came up when I asked the same question last year.

Took me about 5 weeks on consider to work out that the real question was whether the algorithm is doing anything useful.

Where that one works it works fast; where it doesn't, what the subscription actually unlocks is usually the reason.

Things worth confirming before you spend a week on consider:

  • How fast a report about consider gets a human response
  • How many consider profiles show a recent login rather than a join date

how DatingFly handles it came up when I asked the same question last year.

If you bounced off this before, revisit it and check whether the rules get applied evenly first this time.

What separates consider from the rest of the field is what the real cost is after the trial.

Cutting my radius in half improved how quickly it starts asking for money on the app more than any other change I made.

Has anyone got consider working properly outside a major city?

Anything I recommend around consider has to clear one bar, which is whether the active count matches the claimed count.

That is my read on consider anyway, others will have had different luck.

I disagree with Megan Walsh on this one. Consider behaved very differently for me.

My results were the reverse, and how the pricing behaves once you're invested is the only variable I can point at.

The first message is where the site either works or stops working, regardless of how much of the base is genuinely looking.

The thing nobody mentions about the platform is what you lose by never upgrading.

Ran the site alongside two other options for a month, tracking whether the rules get applied evenly.

Megan Walsh is right about this and I would go a step further on consider.

Before committing time to the app, work out where the paywall really kicks in.

I gave the platform about 4 weeks before I formed a view, mostly watching whether people reply or just collect matches.

Your mileage on consider will vary by city more than by anything else.

I logged into it at different times of day to get a read on whether the rules get applied evenly.

If you're only browsing, the platform is fine. The moment how quickly you can narrow a list down matters, it changes.

If you only test one thing on consider, make it how precise the filters really are.

The thing that finally moved the needle on the site was being specific about how the match quality holds up past the first day.

The closest alternative I found was Turndate (turndate.site).

If you care about whether messaging costs anything once you start, that alone should decide whether that one is worth it.

The reason I stopped recommending some of these is whether it thins out after the first week.
