Common questions about Chengdu

How far should I set my search radius around Chengdu?

Wider than feels natural. Most people searching in Chengdu start at ten or fifteen miles and see very little. Pushing that out to thirty or forty typically multiplies the number of active profiles without meaningfully changing how far anyone is willing to travel for a first meeting.

How do I avoid scams when dating online in Chengdu?

The pattern is consistent everywhere: an unusually fast emotional escalation, a reluctance to video call, and eventually a request for money. None of that is specific to Chengdu. Keep the conversation on-platform, video call before meeting, and never send funds to someone you have not met.

Do I need to pay to send the first message in Chengdu?

On some platforms yes, on others no, and it is the single most useful thing to check before investing time. If a site covering Chengdu will not let you start a conversation without a card on file, treat that as information about how thin its local membership probably is.
