Dating in Tehran: your questions answered

Is online dating actually free in Tehran?

Yes, in the sense that you can create a profile, browse and in most cases send messages without paying. The limits you will hit in Tehran are on volume and visibility rather than on access. Start on a free tier, confirm there are active members within your radius, and only consider paying once you know the pool is real.

What is the best time to be active on dating sites in Tehran?

Weekday evenings, roughly between eight and eleven. Activity around Tehran is noticeably lower on weekend afternoons than most people assume. Messages sent midweek tend to get replies faster simply because fewer people are competing for attention.

How do I avoid scams when dating online in Tehran?

The pattern is consistent everywhere: an unusually fast emotional escalation, a reluctance to video call, and eventually a request for money. None of that is specific to Tehran. Keep the conversation on-platform, video call before meeting, and never send funds to someone you have not met.
