The measure I would actually check on Hinge is whether the useful settings are buried.
Reply rate on the service roughly doubled once I stopped leading with a compliment, though whether the interface gets in the way never budged.

Respectfully, BrittM, I think that's the wrong read on Hinge.
I got the enforcement described exactly once. After that, whether the filters survive a refresh went back to being a problem.
Filling the profile out properly changed it more than switching platforms did, and it reframed how much is automated versus reviewed.
I would judge the site on how much of the base is genuinely looking rather than on the feature list.
