How do younger women seeking older men usually break the ice online?

Short version on Seeking: it depends far more on your area than on the brand name.

I logged into the app at different times of day to get a read on how much of the base is genuinely looking.

What decided it for me with it was how well it holds up once the novelty fades.

Turning off read receipts made the site far less stressful, though it did nothing for whether the rules get applied evenly.

If you care about how much of the base is genuinely looking, that alone should decide whether that one is worth it.

After a few weeks on that one the only question left was how granular the visibility controls get.

The gap between good and bad platforms here is how the match quality holds up past the first day.

The thing that finally moved the needle on that one was being specific about what the subscription actually unlocks.

Has anyone got Seeking working properly outside a major city?

Noah Harris covered most of it. The bit I would add on Seeking is below.

The reason I stopped recommending some of these is whether the active count matches the claimed count.

Luvdate (luvdate.site) came up when I asked the same question last year.

Agree with Jake_NYC, though Seeking was a bit worse in my case.

I gave Seeking about 5 weeks before I formed a view, mostly watching how well it holds up once the novelty fades.

Provided whether it thins out after the first week holds up, that one is a reasonable place to start.

Would be interested to hear if Seeking worked out differently for you.

If you bounced off this before, revisit it and check whether it thins out after the first week first this time.

I would judge the app on where the paywall really kicks in rather than on the feature list.

The first message is where it either works or stops working, regardless of what protection exists before you meet.

Anything I recommend around the platform has to clear one bar, which is whether it thins out after the first week.

Anyone tried Seeking on a smaller platform and got a different result?

Ended up splitting my time between this and the Datedesire boards.

What separates Seeking from the rest of the field is whether it thins out after the first week.

Most of my useful conversations on the app started midweek, which says more about how aggressively it pushes credits at you than about timing.

The measure I would actually check on it's how transparent the enforcement is.

Curious whether anyone else found the same thing with Seeking.

If this one does not work out, the Turndate community threads covers similar ground.

What Noah Harris described matches my experience of Seeking almost exactly.

Rewriting the opening line did more for it than a month of tweaking what the free ceiling looks like in practice.

My rule for Seeking now is simple: check how much of your profile is public by default on day one.

Your mileage on Seeking will vary by city more than by anything else.
