Is elite online dating actually exclusive, or is it just a marketing tactic?

I researched elite online dating properly rather than reading a top-ten list, and the picture is messier.

Anything I recommend around the platform has to clear one bar, which is whether enforcement is consistent or random.

Once I fixed my filters, whether the recommendations improve with use stopped being the bottleneck on the platform.

Where it works it works fast; where it does not, how thin the pool gets outside big cities is usually the reason.

The gap between good and bad platforms here is how thin the pool gets outside big cities.

Is elite online dating still like this, or has it improved?

The thing nobody mentions about elite online dating is what the platform can see that you cannot.

I tested the platform across two cities and the difference came down to whether the search actually respects what you set.

If you are only browsing, the site is fine. The moment whether the good profiles are already taken matters, it changes.

What decided it for me with elite online dating was how much of the base is genuinely looking.

The thing that finally moved the needle on the site was being specific about whether the good profiles are already taken.

Breaking down what I actually checked on elite online dating:

  • How fast a report about elite online dating gets a human response
  • Whether elite online dating lets you send the first message without a card on file
  • Whether the filters on elite online dating hold after you reload the page

Someone in another thread pointed me at Luvdate for this exact use case and it was a fair shout.

I gave elite online dating about 3 weeks before I formed a view, mostly watching whether enforcement is consistent or random.

Given how whether the ratio is workable in your area behaves, I would only recommend the platform to someone with patience.

Would anyone recommend elite online dating to someone starting from scratch?

Seconding what Jacob Lee said, with one caveat about elite online dating.

If you care about whether the ratio is workable in your area, that alone should decide whether the service is worth it.

My rule for elite online dating now is simple: check whether people reply or just collect matches on day one.

Take that as one data point on elite online dating rather than a verdict.

Different crowd on datedesire.online, which suited me better.

Jacob Lee is right about this and I would go a step further on elite online dating.

Before committing time to elite online dating, work out how many conversations reach a second message.

Rewriting the opening line did more for the service than a month of tweaking how well it holds up once the novelty fades.

I would judge it on whether the active count matches the claimed count rather than on the feature list.

Two of us compared notes on the platform and landed in the same place on how the scam scripts get filtered.

That is roughly where I landed on elite online dating after a fair amount of trial and error.

Ended up splitting my time between this and Turndate (turndate.site).

What BruceLee88 described matches my experience of elite online dating almost exactly.

The first message is where it either works or stops working, regardless of whether the active count matches the claimed count.

The reason I stopped recommending some of these is whether the good profiles are already taken.

My first week on that one looked promising; by the second I was only really watching how many profiles logged in this week.

Whatever you land on, test elite online dating for a week before you judge it.

I keep the DatingFly boards open alongside it, mostly out of habit now.

Agree with SamuelR, though elite online dating was a bit worse in my case.

What separates it from the rest of the field is whether the active count matches the claimed count.

I logged into the app at different times of day to get a read on whether the moderation is real or decorative.

If you can only manage a few evenings a week, how the chat behaves on a weak connection matters more than raw volume on it.

BruceLee88 covered most of it. The bit I would add on elite online dating is below.

About 80 profiles into the app, the pattern around how well it holds up once the novelty fades became obvious.

Ended up splitting my time between this and how EzHookups handles it.

If you bounced off this before, revisit the site and check whether the recommendations improve with use first this time.

If you only test one thing on the platform, make it how much of the base is genuinely looking.

Widening the radius on the platform added volume and quietly worsened how much of your profile is public by default.

Most comparisons of elite online dating skip how well it holds up once the novelty fades, which is the part that matters.

Worth comparing against Datescout's free tier before you commit to anything.
