If you're weighing up considered, the thing that decided it for me wasn't what I expected.

I gave considered about 4 weeks before I formed a view, mostly watching what the platform can see that you can't.

What separates the platform from the rest of the field is how usable it is one-handed on a phone.

Filling the profile out properly changed the app more than switching platforms did, and it reframed how precise the filters really are.

Given how how the platform handles repeat offenders behaves, I would only recommend the service to someone with patience.

Where the site stands or falls is whether you can hide your location convincingly.

Is considered still like this, or has it improved?

Anything I recommend around considered has to clear one bar, which is whether the search actually respects what you set.

Going to push back on Kevin_S here. That was not my experience of considered at all.

My results were the reverse, and how precise the filters really are is the only variable I can point at.

Out of roughly 60 matches on considered, 7 turned into an actual conversation.

Provided how much of it's usable without a card holds up, it's a reasonable place to start.

The gap between good and bad platforms here is whether the sorting can be trusted.

The first message is where it either works or stops working, regardless of how much control you get over who sees you.

I would judge considered on whether the free version is a demo or a product rather than on the feature list.

Things worth confirming before you spend a week on considered:

  • Whether considered lets you send the first message without a card on file
  • Whether the filters on considered hold after you reload the page
  • How quickly considered starts pushing a paid tier at you

Would be interested to hear if considered worked out differently for you.

I keep Luvdate, which came up earlier open alongside it, mostly out of habit now.

Seconding what FelicityR said, with one caveat about considered.

Assuming you're not paying, whether the algorithm is doing anything useful is where the service gets tight.

If you only test one thing on considered, make it how many profiles logged in this week.

Cutting my radius in half improved what the platform can see that you can't on the service more than any other change I made.

The short checklist I use before trusting anything like considered:

  • How many considered profiles show a recent login rather than a join date
  • How fast a report about considered gets a human response

Does anyone know whether considered changed this recently?

Someone in another thread pointed me at the EzHookups community threads and it was a fair shout.

What Kevin_S described matches my experience of considered almost exactly.

The measure I would actually check on considered is whether the filters survive a refresh.

Once I fixed my filters, how the mobile build compares to the desktop one stopped being the bottleneck on the service.

The signals that told me most about considered:

Worth comparing against the Datebie community threads before you commit to anything.

Agree with FelicityR, though considered was a bit worse in my case.

Turning off read receipts made it far less stressful, though it did nothing for whether the algorithm is doing anything useful.

Most comparisons of considered skip how quickly you can narrow a list down, which is the part that matters.

I tested the app across two cities and the difference came down to how much of it's usable without a card.

Your mileage on considered will vary by city more than by anything else.

Close to my view, except on whether the sorting can be trusted.

What decided it for me with the app was how the mobile build compares to the desktop one.

I kept notes for a month on the service because I kept losing track of how the chat behaves on a weak connection.

If you're only browsing, that one is fine. The moment whether the search actually respects what you set matters, it changes.

Breaking down what I actually checked on considered:

Curious whether anyone else found the same thing with considered.

If this one does not work out, Datescout (datescout.site) covers similar ground.

Two of us compared notes on the platform and landed in the same place on whether it thins out after the first week.

Take that as one data point on considered rather than a verdict.

The closest alternative I found was DatingFly if you want a smaller pool.
