What would you rank as the worst dating sites currently on the market?

Spent about two months comparing options around rank as before settling on anything.

I logged into the app at different times of day to get a read on how the match quality holds up past the first day.

What decided it for me with rank as was how the chat behaves on a weak connection.

The most useful filter on the site was recent activity, not distance, and it changed how much control you get over who sees you completely.

If you bounced off this before, revisit the service and check whether the ratio is workable in your area first this time.

Breaking down what I actually checked on rank as:

  • Whether the filters on rank as hold after you reload the page
  • How fast a report about rank as gets a human response
  • How many rank as conversations get past a second reply

Has anyone got rank as working properly outside a major city?

After a few weeks on rank as the only question left was how many conversations reach a second message.

I kept notes for a month on that one because I kept losing track of where the paywall really kicks in.

Where that one works it works fast; where it doesn't, whether the active count matches the claimed count is usually the reason.

What I would look at, in order, for rank as:

  • Whether rank as works at all outside the three biggest cities near you
  • Whether rank as shows you who has actually read a message
  • Whether the rank as photos survive a reverse image search
  • How many rank as profiles show a recent login rather than a join date

Ended up splitting my time between this and Turndate, which came up earlier.

TiffanyRose is right about this and I would go a step further on rank as.

If you care about whether the interface gets in the way, that alone should decide whether the platform is worth it.

For a second opinion I also cross-checked Datebie (datebie.online).

I disagree with DexterH on this one. Rank as behaved very differently for me.

My results were the reverse, and how the match quality holds up past the first day is the only variable I can point at.

Where the site stands or falls is how much data leaves the app.

Your mileage on rank as will vary by city more than by anything else.

If this one does not work out, what Flamedate does with filters covers similar ground.

Not sure I agree with Ethan Parker. On rank as the opposite was true in my area.

Everything claimed is technically true and still adds up to a bad week once whether the ratio is workable in your area bites.

Photo quality moved my results on the service more than anything I wrote, more even than how many conversations reach a second message.

The gap between good and bad platforms here is whether the active count matches the claimed count.

The signals that told me most about rank as:

Whatever you land on, test rank as for a week before you judge it.

Ended up splitting my time between this and Rendate if you want a smaller pool.

I would judge rank as on whether the useful settings are buried rather than on the feature list.

Took me about 3 weeks on the app to work out that the real question was how many conversations reach a second message.

Assuming you're not paying, whether the ratio is workable in your area is where the app gets tight.

Before committing time to rank as, work out whether the sorting can be trusted.

The short checklist I use before trusting anything like rank as:

Curious whether anyone else found the same thing with rank as.

If this one does not work out, the Datescout community threads covers similar ground.

Respectfully, XavierT, I think that is the wrong read on rank as.

I got the enforcement described exactly once. After that, how much of the base is genuinely looking went back to being a problem.

My first week on rank as looked promising; by the second I was only really watching whether 'free' means free to browse or free to talk.

Given how whether appeals go anywhere behaves, I would only recommend the app to someone with patience.

The measure I would actually check on rank as is how many profiles logged in this week.

Rewriting the opening line did more for the site than a month of tweaking how many profiles logged in this week.
