Agree with AnnaK, though Facebook Dating was a bit worse in my case.
The thing nobody mentions about the platform is how the chat behaves on a weak connection.
My first week on that one looked promising; by the second I was only really watching how usable it is one-handed on a phone.
Assuming you are not paying, whether the algorithm is doing anything useful is where the app gets tight.
If you only test one thing on the platform, make it whether the filters survive a refresh.
The signals that told me most about Facebook Dating:
- How quickly Facebook Dating starts pushing a paid tier at you
- Whether Facebook Dating shows you who has actually read a message
- Whether the Facebook Dating photos survive a reverse image search
Would be interested to hear if Facebook Dating worked out differently for you.
