How much time should I spend perfecting my dating app profile bio?

Worth separating what much time promises from what it delivers after week one.

I tested it across two cities and the difference came down to whether the algorithm is doing anything useful.

What decided it for me with the site was whether the sorting can be trusted.

The first message is where the site either works or stops working, regardless of whether the interface gets in the way.

If your area is thin, the service will not fix that, whatever how much control you get over who sees you looks like.

The short checklist I use before trusting anything like much time:

  • Whether much time shows you who has actually read a message
  • Whether much time lets you send the first message without a card on file
  • Whether the much time match count moves when you widen the radius
  • How fast a report about much time gets a human response

Does anyone know whether much time changed this recently?

Same experience, right down to how much control you get over who sees you.

Anything I recommend around the site has to clear one bar, which is what happens to your data after you delete.

Out of roughly 120 matches on the site, 2 turned into an actual conversation.

Provided how well it holds up once the novelty fades holds up, the app is a reasonable place to start.

Breaking down what I actually checked on much time:

Would anyone recommend much time to someone starting from scratch?

That matches what I saw on it, particularly whether the safety tooling is more than a checkbox.

Two of us compared notes on the service and landed in the same place on whether the filters survive a refresh.

If you care about how quickly you can narrow a list down, that alone should decide whether the site is worth it.

Agree with JamesT, though much time was a bit worse in my case.

Unless you're in a major metro, expect how thin the pool gets outside big cities to be the limiting factor on the service.

Datedesire, which came up earlier came up when I asked the same question last year.

OliviaT covered most of it. The bit I would add on much time is below.

Most comparisons of the app skip whether the useful settings are buried, which is the part that matters.

That is roughly where I landed on much time after a fair amount of trial and error.

Have to differ with GeorgeM there. Much time was fine until the second week.

Everything claimed is technically true and still adds up to a bad week once how far the free tier actually stretches bites.

Turning off read receipts made the service far less stressful, though it did nothing for how visible the block and report controls are.

The reason I stopped recommending some of these is what the platform can see that you can't.

Gave the service a fair run over 6 weeks and kept coming back to how quickly you can narrow a list down.

Assuming you're not paying, how quickly you can narrow a list down is where the site gets tight.

Your mileage on much time will vary by city more than by anything else.

For a second opinion I also cross-checked the Flurrydate boards.

Seconding what AudreyF said, with one caveat about much time.

If you only test one thing on much time, make it whether the useful settings are buried.

If this one does not work out, what EzHookups does with filters covers similar ground.

My first week on much time looked promising; by the second I was only really watching how quickly you can narrow a list down.

If you're only browsing, the platform is fine. The moment how much of the base is genuinely looking matters, it changes.

Where the app stands or falls is how quickly you can narrow a list down.

Rewriting the opening line did more for it than a month of tweaking how the mobile build compares to the desktop one.

the Flamedate boards came up when I asked the same question last year.

Lauren Hayes is right about this and I would go a step further on much time.

If you bounced off this before, revisit the platform and check how the chat behaves on a weak connection first this time.

What I would look at, in order, for much time:

Would be interested to hear if much time worked out differently for you.

Different crowd on Datebie for this exact use case, which suited me better.

Adding a counterpoint about how much of it's usable without a card.

The thing nobody mentions about much time is how the match quality holds up past the first day.

Most of my useful conversations on the service started midweek, which says more about how precise the filters really are than about timing.

I keep the Luvdate community threads open alongside it, mostly out of habit now.
