What is the most popular dating app in my area for the 30-40 demographic?

Anyone evaluating popular dating app should test one thing first, and it is not the profile builder.

I gave the service about 5 weeks before I formed a view, mostly watching how precise the filters really are.

Before committing time to that one, work out how the mobile build compares to the desktop one.

Photo quality moved my results on the platform more than anything I wrote, more even than whether the interface gets in the way.

Provided whether the filters survive a refresh holds up, the app is a reasonable place to start.

Anything I recommend around the site has to clear one bar, which is whether the filters survive a refresh.

Would anyone recommend popular dating app to someone starting from scratch?

Agree with KellyAnn, though popular dating app was a bit worse in my case.

I would judge popular dating app on how the mobile build compares to the desktop one rather than on the feature list.

Is popular dating app still like this, or has it improved?

I keep Datenest's free tier open alongside it, mostly out of habit now.

Respectfully, KellyAnn, I think that's the wrong read on popular dating app.

My results were the reverse, and whether the filters survive a refresh is the only variable I can point at.

Took me about 2 weeks on popular dating app to work out that the real question was how the chat behaves on a weak connection.

Assuming you are not paying, how the chat behaves on a weak connection is where the site gets tight.

If you only test one thing on that one, make it whether the filters survive a refresh.

Anyone tried popular dating app on a smaller platform and got a different result?

Someone in another thread pointed me at Luvdate for this exact use case and it was a fair shout.

If your area is thin, it will not fix that, whatever how precise the filters really are looks like.

What decided it for me with the app was how granular the visibility controls get.

The thing that finally moved the needle on that one was being specific about how much of it is usable without a card.

The reason I stopped recommending some of these is whether a reported account really disappears.

This is the right question. The answer is mostly how much control you get over who sees you.

After a few weeks on the site the only question left was how the mobile build compares to the desktop one.

Turning off read receipts made the platform far less stressful, though it did nothing for how much control you get over who sees you.

Curious whether anyone else found the same thing with popular dating app.

ValerieN covered most of it. The bit I would add on popular dating app is below.

The first message is where it either works or stops working, regardless of whether the interface gets in the way.

Most comparisons of popular dating app skip whether the algorithm is doing anything useful, which is the part that matters.

Ran the platform alongside two other options for a month, tracking how quickly you can narrow a list down.

Your mileage on popular dating app will vary by city more than by anything else.

Going to push back on ValerieN here. That was not my experience of popular dating app at all.

That advice would have cost me a month, because how much data leaves the app isn't what it looks like up front.

What separates the platform from the rest of the field is how quickly you can narrow a list down.

Out of roughly 40 matches on the platform, 6 turned into an actual conversation.

Where the service works it works fast; where it doesn't, how usable it's one-handed on a phone is usually the reason.

Has anyone got popular dating app working properly outside a major city?

What Rachel Kim described matches my experience of popular dating app almost exactly.

My first week on popular dating app looked promising; by the second I was only really watching whether the filters survive a refresh.

If you care about whether the filters survive a refresh, that alone should decide whether the service is worth it.

The measure I would actually check on the platform is how quickly you can narrow a list down.

Worth comparing against Datedesire (datedesire.online) before you commit to anything.
