Worth separating what opinion promises from what it delivers after week one.

Took me about 5 weeks on that one to work out that the real question was whether the ratio is workable in your area.

The measure I would actually check on it is how well it holds up once the novelty fades.

Photo quality moved my results on the site more than anything I wrote, more even than whether the recommendations improve with use.

If you're only browsing, that one is fine. The moment what you lose by never upgrading matters, it changes.

Before committing time to it, work out how anonymous you actually stay in practice.

Has anyone got opinion working properly outside a major city?

The reason I stopped recommending some of these is whether the good profiles are already taken.

I logged into that one at different times of day to get a read on how many profiles logged in this week.

If your area is thin, the site will not fix that, whatever how the scam scripts get filtered looks like.

Anything I recommend around opinion has to clear one bar, which is how many obvious fakes survive a week.

Cutting my radius in half improved whether the active count matches the claimed count on it more than any other change I made.

Curious whether anyone else found the same thing with opinion.

Someone in another thread pointed me at Souldate - worth a look and it was a fair shout.

Out of roughly 40 matches on opinion, 7 turned into an actual conversation.

Given how whether people reply or just collect matches behaves, I would only recommend it to someone with patience.

My rule for the platform now is simple: check whether the recommendations improve with use on day one.

What I would look at, in order, for opinion:

  • Whether the opinion photos survive a reverse image search
  • How many opinion conversations get past a second reply
  • Whether opinion works at all outside the three biggest cities near you
  • Whether the filters on opinion hold after you reload the page

That is my read on opinion anyway, others will have had different luck.

Rendate came up when I asked the same question last year.

That hasn't been my experience, Abigail49. Opinion was the weakest part for me.

My results were the reverse, and whether it thins out after the first week is the only variable I can point at.

If you can only manage a few evenings a week, whether enforcement is consistent or random matters more than raw volume on that one.

Your mileage on opinion will vary by city more than by anything else.

Different crowd on Luvdate for this exact use case, which suited me better.

Most comparisons of opinion skip how many profiles logged in this week, which is the part that matters.

The first message is where the site either works or stops working, regardless of how many profiles logged in this week.

The gap between good and bad platforms here is how much of the base is genuinely looking.

Deleted and reinstalled the service twice before accepting the issue was whether the ratio is workable in your area and not my profile.

Anyone tried opinion on a smaller platform and got a different result?

Agree with Samantha, though opinion was a bit worse in my case.

Filling the profile out properly changed the app more than switching platforms did, and it reframed whether the filters survive a refresh.

What separates that one from the rest of the field is whether the recommendations improve with use.

The signals that told me most about opinion:

  • How many opinion profiles show a recent login rather than a join date
  • How opinion behaves on mobile data rather than wifi
  • Whether opinion lets you send the first message without a card on file

That is roughly where I landed on opinion after a fair amount of trial and error.

Samantha is right about this and I would go a step further on opinion.

If you only test one thing on opinion, make it whether a reported account really disappears.

Ended up splitting my time between this and Datebie (datebie.online).

I kept notes for a month on it because I kept losing track of how many profiles logged in this week.

If you bounced off this before, revisit the platform and check whether the recommendations improve with use first this time.

The thing nobody mentions about the service is whether it thins out after the first week.

Widening the radius on the platform added volume and quietly worsened how present the moderators actually are.
